One never knows what is going to present in the journey of life so we must depend on Allah (swt) and ask to belong to Him. Shaykh Bahauddin explains tawakkal to mean: “Depend on Me”. He illustrates these words using an anecdote from the life of Grandshaykh (qs) who once arrived in Damascus with only 35 Syrian cents in his pocket.

Shaytan had so much knowledge and was the teacher of angels. It had a throne like a Sultan. Yet it had no Adab so it was thrown down. To learn donkeyness is easy the problem is in learning humanity. O Man know who you are, and remember what you were given and what is promised to you in order to know which way to go.

Allah (swt) sent prophets (as) as teachers and sent His Habib (sas) as the master of all, Sayyidu-l Khalq and Abdullah (sas).
