Shukr Yā Rabbi

People understand favours only when they are gone. What should we do? Say the blessed words: “Shukr Yā Rabbi, Al-ḥamdu liLlāh.” They please Allāh ﷻ and are proof of man’s pleasure with his Lord. Favours and shukr are linked. Forget to give shukr and favours depart. Allāh ﷻ will not question those who constantly give shukr.

Whom Should I love?

Religion means to love for Allāh ﷻ and to not love for Allāh ﷻ. The angels accept Allāh ﷻ is Wise and, He teaches. The young must keep the safe way of the holy-ones and stop following idols otherwise ahead in their lives they face much danger. Why are they in trouble? Their hearts love those whom Allāh ﷻ doesn’t love.

Hārūn ar-Rashīd and ibn ‘Arabī

If you obey your nafs you cannot obey Allāh ﷻ. If you do not obey Allāh ﷻ how can you call yourself a Muslim? When we are calling ourselves Muslim we are lying and no good can come of the deeds of the liar. The Awliyā’ have great authority given them by Allāh ﷻ because they obey Him ﷻ. They must help those in need. Who doesn't respect the Awliyā’ is astray. Mawlānā tells the story of the meeting of Sulṭān Hārūn ar-Rashīd with the saint ibn ‘Arabī.

Knowledge and Arms

Mawlana directs this talk towards young believers. He encourages them to strike against unbelief and non-believers using the way of knowledge, just as the Prophet initially used logic and reason against the polytheists of Mecca. The time to bear arms will come only when the one who holds full authority gives that order to all Muslims.
