The seeker of Truth can find its traces even in a folktale like that of "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves". Adab is the highest point on the way and with it the door opens. Know that Allāh ﷻ did not send you to this world empty-handed. Your capital grows with you as you grow. "O mankind, indeed you are labouring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it" (84:6). No, Mawlānā says, "And you will meet Him ﷻ."

Thank Allah for having created you and having created you so beautiful. The most beautiful creature is man and the most beloved is man. Know that in the whole of creation, the sultan is you. Then, how can you ever get sad? "فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِي وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ - So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me."(2:152) Every prophet came to dress his nation with Divine dresses. The Prophet sas preferred the dress of servant-hood to that of sultanate. O Man know the value of what you have been granted and keep it.

The Sajdah for Adam

Al-Hawariyyun (the Disciples) asked for a table from Heaven. As-Sahabah Al-Kiram (The Companions) each wrapped a stone against his stomach, yet did not ask. The Prophet (sas), The Master of Creation, had 2 stones wrapped against his stomach. Know what you want and what you are after. If the whole world was yours, what would be the value without 'Ishq. The real goal is the Sultan. Without the Sultan, what is the value of the Palace? Know the one for Whom "The Sajdah for Adam" was actually made.

People are looking for the treasures under the ground and never seeing the treasures in themselves. Serve in order to be worthy of "The Girdle of Service" and the Presence of the Sultan. The one who is not in the service of the Sultan is in the service of the filth of this world. "إِنَّمَا الْمُشْرِكُونَ نَجَسٌ - Indeed the Mushriks are unclean" (9:28). Know that for the honour of the Most Beloved sas 18,000 worlds were created.

The stomach needs the toilet but the heart yearns for the Lord. A man without love is dry wood, good only for the fire. If Man knew who Man was, he would never fight. If you want to fight, fight your ego. Look up to find the honour you seek. Know that if Allah Wills, an ant can carry the whole world.

Physical power is not what distinguishes man. If it did, then a donkey would be more honourable than a man. What keeps us on our feet is Ma‘nawiyyat (spirituality). Nowadays people, however, are worse than donkeys. Not only do they kick each other, but they also kill, destroy and torture one another. Have mercy on those on Earth, so the One in Heavens ﷻ has Mercy on you. Keep adab with Allāh ﷻ, so that Allāh Almighty keeps you. In the month of Sha‘bān, “Mounts of Light” descended from the Heavens carrying Nūr. 7000 more angels are still waiting for the order to descend.

There are endless levels of knowledge and only the master can take you to yourself. Adab Ya Hu.

The Disciples asked for a table from Heavens as if everything they were eating was not from Heavens. But Man is "ظَلُومًا جَهُولًا - unjust and ignorant" (33:72). Through the funny example of "My Cats", Mawlana shows how man can learn, if he wants, even from a cat. A cat exists through the love of its owner, and knows its priorities and does not waste its time.

Mi‘rāj

It is Laylatu l-Mi‘rāj and Mawlānā is calling us to reach to our endless honour. We've been honoured by being human and, even more, by being Muslim and from the Ummatu l-Ḥabīb ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ is the Imām of the Prophets and the Imām of the Angels. There is no limit to the dresses of honour granted to him ﷺ and to his Ummah. O lover of Shāh-i Mardān, the Lion of Allāh ﷻ, become the lion you are meant to be. Why are Muslims killing each other? Because they did not keep the honour of their Prophet ﷺ or the honour of being part of his Ummah.

He finished his sentence and walked on the water. O people learn from that Dervish. Know the jewel your heart longs for and learn where to look for it.

Who Knows Himself Knows His Lord

"And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me" (51:56). Liya'buduni (to worship) Me means liya'rifuni (to know Me). Yet the Divine Essence is absolutely transcendent. How can the knowledge of Allah be the reason and purpose of our creation when the Divine Essence cannot be approached? "Who Knows Himself Knows His Lord" is the door and its key is "Prostrate and draw near [to Allah]" (96:19).
