Last week, a huge group - four full buses - of Ghazis, together with some members of their families, came to visit Mawlana. They were part of the Turkish army sent to Cyprus in the 1974-war. For some of them who had seen Mawlana then, this meeting was the second after almost 40 years! One man told Mawlana that he reads "Risale'i Nur". Mawlana said that the reading of a book can never substitute the guidance of a Shaykh. The Risale-i Nur collection is a six-thousand-page commentary on the Quran written by Bediuzzaman Said Nursi Hz., who was, as Mawlana related, a true Ottoman Alim and who had both real knowledge and sunuhat/inspiration and whose knowledge and writings are far beyond the scope of understanding of anyone in our times.

Last night Mawlana gave a strong address to the Turks asking them to take a lesson from the destruction in Antalya and to make tawba before the full blow of Allah's Wrath hits them. Though the address was to the Turks, the message is for all Muslims. They are all caught in the trap called "Modern life and Modern civilization", and now they have to find their way out, before it is too late. "Our Honor and Dignity - Irzimiz ve Şerefimiz - عرضنا و شرفنا"
