We Are Muslims
Jul19 2011 Turkish
What is the secret in small things that allows them to grow and become great? How can a poor Orphan (sas) in the unknown desserts of Arabia become the Founder a worldwide religion with millions of sincere followers from all-over the world, allowing history and civilization to be born on these lands? How could the Great Ottomans rule the whole world raising Allah's word and the Banner of His Prophet (sas)? How could such a magnificent empire be destroyed by a group of young people, whose beliefs, intentions and lineages are obscure? Why, "We are Osmanlis / Ottomans"? And what can we do to save the honor of Islam? These are some of the issues Mawlana addresses in the important Sohbat, "Müslümanız -We Are Muslims - نحن مسلمون".

This sohbat identifies the basic requirements for seeking and acquiring knowledge. Without meeting these requirements, there is no real question or true knowledge. It is all a waste of time and effort. Thus, the holy verse, "و لا تسألوا عن أشياءإن تبد لكم تسؤكم - Açiklandiği Zaman Hoşunuza Gitmeyecek Olan Şeylerden Sormayın - Do Not Ask about Things Which, If Shown to You, Will Distress You (5:101)”.

The City of Knowledge
Jul10 2011 Arabic
As he promised, Mawlana continues with the themes started in the earlier Sohbat, "The Introduction to Sohbat - المقدمة للصحبة". In "The City of Knowledge - مدينةُ العلمِ", Mawlana explains the conditions needed for acquiring knowledge, the unlimited levels of knowledge and the value of knowledge versus that of Edeb. Knowledge allowed 'Azazil to reach the stations of angles, but the lack of Edeb made him fall into that of Iblis. Then comes the Holy verse, "So do you believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part? (2:85) - أفتؤمنون ببعض الكتاب و تكفرون ببعض؟" and, with it, Mawlana's Fatwa which can be considered the most important Fatwa in our times.
